Cameron-Thomas Wedding Preview {Married}

I had the great pleasure of shooting video yesterday with my buddy Clover Carroll of New Story Media at the wedding of two beautiful people - Tori and Harrison Thomas.

I was in perfect position during the ceremony to capture this tender moment during a prayer following the vows.

Back at the Ranch {Video}

This is a quick edit of some shots I took of my friends in Back at the Ranch on Friday at the Cameron-Thomas wedding rehearsal dinner. I turned the footage black and white to make it more moody.

Brazos River Ranch {Landscape}

This is more work done for real estate agent and friend, Matthew Menke. On a chilly early February day, we went out and shot these images at the Brazos River Ranch in Hempstead, Texas.

The day started out really, really ugly - cold, misty and cloudy. But about halfway into the shoot, the clouds parted and it turned absolutely beautiful! This property was fun for me because it borders the Brazos River. I've never gotten to stand on the edge of the Brazos quite like this before.

There were also a lot of fun touches in the house. The owner loves to hunt and there was a real bearskin run lying in the entry hall. This is a beautiful property.

If you're looking for some amazing riverfront land with room to run, give my buddy Matthew a call at 936-825-5256 or visit his website at iknowranches.com

More images from this property are shown on my Facebook page!

Confession

Okay - I have a confession to make.

The image I posted earlier in the week of Independence Hall wasn't actually an oil painting. I'm a HORRIBLE painter.

It WAS one of my photos (shot at sunset on Texas Independence Day), however. It was me playing with a new filter in Adobe Photoshop CS6 that makes images look like oil paintings. I just loved the way it made the trees look!

Here's the before and after...

Kayci Test Shot {Portraits}

This is my absolute favorite assistant, Kayci.

This was a test shot we shot back in January while waiting for a client to arrive. I think it captures her beautiful, playful soul and the Kayci that I see as her Daddy.

Cradle of Independence

Yesterday was Texas Independence Day. It's a very special day for all Texans because it's the day Texas declared its independence from Mexico. I happen to live about 20 miles from the site at Washington-on-the-Brazos where the Declaration was made, and it's one of my absolute favorite spots in the world.

Yesterday, Kristi, the kids and I met my pal Clover Carroll and his kids out at Washington-on-the-Brazos to shoot some sunset shots at Independence Hall. We got some really good shots, I think, but this last shot of the night was my favorite.

I've been working on a series of posters featuring Texas landmarks, and this image was exactly what I was looking for for the series.

It was really powerful being in such an important place in Texas history 177 years to the day where the Declaration was signed.

I hate that I had to watermark this, but I'm planning on selling these posters at some point, so I hope you'll understand.

Happy Independence Day, Texans.
