Brockman Family {Portraits}

I recently got the opportunity to shoot some family portraits for one of our favorite friends' families. Our family has known the Brockmans for several years now, and we've enjoyed watching their kids grow. Come to find out that it's been several years since their last family photos. We couldn't have picked a prettier fall day to shoot, either. From beginning to end, this shoot was just a lot of fun. I'm very pleased with the way their family photos turned out. Brockmans, thank you for allowing me to capture these images of your family. I hope you enjoy them!

Portraits for a Beautiful Family, Inside and Out

I got the opportunity to shoot some family portraits for the most amazing family this morning. This is a family that has blessed ours in many ways time and time again and now have adopted the most amazing, adorable, smart and super sweet little boy.

When I left the house this morning, it was craaazy foggy. I was a little nervous about that because most people don't think of a foggy morning as being great for photos. But I was also really excited, too, because I thought the fog would make the colors in their outfits really pop and would make for some really cool dream-like images. Luckily, they were game and we got some of the most amazing photos I've ever shot.

Unfortunately, because of their situation I can't share the photos, but I can just tell you that I'm super proud of these images and that I can't tell you how happy I am that we were able to capture this time in their new family's life.

Carla and Michael {Married}

This was a very intimate ceremony in Salado, Texas. Carla and Michael met while both stationed on active duty in Iraq. The day was perfect - crisp fall Hill Country weather and lots of personal touches. Thank you, Carla and Michael, for allowing me to not only photograph your wedding, but to share in your special day as if I were family!

Austyn - Renaissance Kid {Portraits}

I'm a big fan of this little guy. Austyn does it all - piano, guitar, drums, golf, baseball, football... you name it. So picking an activity for his portraits was a little challenging to narrow down. Luckily, dragging a piano or a drum set to downtown Brenham wasn't an option (although how cool would a shot of him sitting behind a drum kit in the middle of the street downtown be?!). We had a lot of fun trying out different poses and just having fun. Austyn is a high energy kid, so getting a variety of poses was no problem. We had a great time walking all over downtown Brenham on a gorgeous fall evening. I was having fun, Austyn was having fun and I think his portraits reflect it. Thanks, Austyn and Melissa for giving me the opportunity to photograph this amazing little guy!
