Amber & Reagan {married}

Amber and Reagan's wedding was amazing from start to finish. What started out as a bitterly cold day turned into one of the most gorgeous Texas spring days you've ever seen. You might say their day was blessed - and why not? Reagan and Amber come from two of the most awesome, Christ-centered families I've ever had the honor to know - and that was certainly evident throughout the day with so much prayer and laughter and joy.

I'm excited to be able to share the trailer for Amber and Reagan's wedding. Thank you, Taylor and Cameron families, for allowing my team all-access to capture this incredibly special day.

Lauren & Tyler {married}

A few weeks ago I posted Lauren and Tyler's wedding photos and I've been chomping at the bit to post this, their wedding video trailer. I knew as soon as I started looking at the footage the day after the wedding that this was going to be an awesome video.

Last spring we spend a beautiful morning on the campus of Texas A&M University shooting their engagement photos and some video. Then last fall they were married at a gorgeous small country church in Ellinger, Texas.

Brenham State Supported Living Center / David Weekley Homes Thank You

Every year David Weekley Homes in Houston does something amazing - their entire staff collects presents for the residents of the Brenham State Supported Living Center. Then they have some of the residents come up for a Christmas party to present the gifts to them. Then the choral group of residents from the Living Center sing Christmas carols. 

This is a video shot at last year's celebration. I literally had a lump in my throat through the entire party - it was so touching to see the outpouring of support and caring from the David Weekley staff and to see the pure joy on the faces of the Brenham State Supported Living Center residents.

Thank you to the Brenham State Supported Living Center's Volunteer Services Council for allowing me the honor of filming this and for allowing me to share it.

Faith Mission - Impact in the Community {video}

I'm so proud to finally be able to show this video for Faith Mission. It shows - in the unscripted words of the leaders of the community - the impact that Faith Mission has had on Washington County.

Sgt. Michael Quintero Honor Procession

Veteran's Day is about honoring our servicemen and women who defend our country, both living and dead.

I am so very blessed to have many veterans in my life. But this year, I cannot observe Veteran's Day without thinking about one soldier, in particular. In July, Staff Sergeant Michael Quintero succumbed to his battle with PTSD. 

I have only known Michael for a few years. I photographed his and Carla's wedding and photographed their family before he was deployed for a fifth and final time in 2013. Finally, I was asked to photograph his Honor Procession in July from Houston Hobby airport to Sealy.

But there's more to this story.

As moving as his funeral was, I was truly touched by the Texas Patriot Guard Riders, a group of veterans who volunteer to ride in honor of a fallen soldier. They and the Houston Police Department truly treated Michael like the hero he was.

So thank you to our veterans who served in defense of our liberties. And a special thank you to the Patriot Riders for your continued service to our fallen soldiers.

Step Into the Past - Brenham History Tours

Today is the big day - the first showing of the film series I've been working on with Sharon and Barry Brass, Main Street Brenham and the Brenham Heritage Museum!

Step Into the Past Brenham historical films will be shown tonight at a private showing at the Simon Theater and will be available for viewing by the public starting this Saturday at historical sites all over Brenham!

Sorry I've not updated here as often as I should - it's been a REALLY busy couple of months!

Robin & Chase: A Love Letter
I love it when two Bearkats get married - and I was honored to be asked to document the wedding day of Robin and Chase. Their day was beautifully emotional. I photograph a lot of weddings, so it's not every day I choke up at one, but I was overwhelmed by their love story and their devotion to each other. Robin and Chase, I pray for a beautiful life together for you. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day. I hope this video is a reminder of your wedding for many years to come.

Breck & Tyler {married}

Everything about Breck and Tyler's wedding was just beautiful. They got married on an amazingly beautiful spring day in El Campo, Texas before a standing room only crowd. The light that day was simply awesome. Then they headed to their (HUGE!) reception in a vintage Ford Fairlane. Their reception was an elegant uplit wonderland that featured a 45-minute Grand March and some of the most fun I've seen wedding guests ever have. Finally, to cap off the night Breck and Tyler were wisked away in a gorgeous vintage Mustang.

Thank you so much, Breck and Tyler, for allowing me share in your wedding day. I hope these images are a blessing to you and your families for many years to come!

"Throwback Bearkat" Poster Creation Timelapse {video}

I'm very excited to share the poster for Sam Houston State's Homecoming 2015. The theme chosen is ‪#‎ThrowbackBearkat‬ and features Sammy through most of the last century.

This was a really fun project to work on, partly because I got to reimagine Sammy for almost every decade of the 20th Century in iconic hairstyles and costumes.

Thanks to Brandon Cooper and the Department of Student Activities at SHSU for being willing to have some fun with the Homecoming theme!

A Love Story {Meredith & Grant}

I'm so excited to share this video!

Meredith and Grant's wedding was one of the most elegant and fun weddings I've ever had the privilege of filming. Their love for each other is so evident and their personalities naturally compliment one another. Their day was stunning from beginning to end!

"Tuxedo Blue" Creation Timelapse {Video}

This is a timelapse of the inking and coloring of Blue the Dolphin for Alvin Community College. I really love that they have so much fun with their mascot!

Maifest 125th Anniversary {Video}

I'm so happy to finally be able to share this video!!! 

After a year of production, it was shown last night at the Maifest 125th Anniversary Celebration dinner.

Maifest is one of the things that makes Brenham so unique and such a great place to live and raise a family. Thank you, Maifest Association, for allowing me some great behind the scenes access to how this awesome event is put together every year. Happy 125th Anniversary Maifest!

Kat Post Sammy Timelapse

The Kat Post is a new post office just off the campus of Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. This is "Kat Post Sammy," which will be featured on the front of the building.

I can't wait to see Sammy Bearkat larger than life!
