McKenna and Jared {Married}

I'm really excited about sharing these photos from McKenna and Jared's wet and wild Texas Chic wedding! The wedding was held in Tarkington, Texas and was beautifully decorated by Tina Sanford at A Style Collective. You could tell that a lot of thought and planning went into making this wedding special for this young family. And when the unpredictable Texas weather decided to rain on the outdoor reception, it didn't dampen the fun at all! From The World's Most Dangerous Dance Floor (patent pending) to slip & sliding bridesmaids - everyone had a great time.

Thank you, McKenna and Jared, for allowing me to capture your special day. May God bless you and your new family. I truly hope that you treasure these photos for years to come.

Second shooter: Stacy Anderson

Eric and Sarah {Portraits}

I can't start this story without mentioning that Sarah's mom was one of the first people I met when I started work at Germania several years ago, and is still one of my favorite people ever. She just has such a wonderful, energetic and fun spirit, which Sarah has inherited.

Sarah and Eric are just a joy to be around. It also doesn't hurt that they're just beautiful people on the inside and out, too. Even after two years of marriage, they're still in love like newlyweds.

We took these shots on a perfect Texas fall evening. The light was beautiful, the temperature was cool and everything just came together for a great photo shoot. Thank you, Eric and Sarah, for a great evening of shooting and for allowing me the opportunity to document this blessed time in your lives.

Before and After: Two Years Later

Valerie and Josh {Portraits}

Two years ago, Valerie was the first professional senior portrait I ever shot. Two years later - almost to the day - she wanted to recreate the shoot at the same location with her boyfriend, Josh. So we headed out with my pal (and one of the best strobists you'd ever hope to meet), Matt Parker, to try to capture the magic again.  Matt assisted me on the original shoot, so having out there again added a great bit of symmetry.

We recreated some of the same shots from the previous shoot and shot some new poses, as well. And it was especially fun photographing Valerie with Josh. They're both very fun people, so the entire shoot just went well.

Thank you, Valerie, for allowing me to once again document a special moment in your life. I hope you love these photos!
