| We shot Katie's bridal portraits on an overcast day at the Zilker Arboretum in Austin, and I think the weather added a beautiful, elegant moodiness to her photos. She was such a beautiful bride! |

My Favorite Images of 2017
Every year this is one of the hardest things for me to do. I agonize over this task because I love so many of the photos I've gotten to take over the course of the year. And this year was no exception. The first cut of this group was over 60 photos, and I agonized over removing each photo to try to get down to 10. And I (finally) did! And then I found one more that I just couldn't cut. So yes - I can actually count to 10. I just couldn't cut any more. Click through the photos for descriptions of each. And thank you so much for to joy and honor of allowing me to create these images in 2017. I'm looking forward to a 2018 full of memories and even more images to share!

Claire D {senior}
'm very excited to share these portraits of this stunningly beautiful senior! Claire was awesome to work with. We photographed her portraits on an early-summer evening recently when the bugs made things a bit difficult (I swallowed a love bug during this session!) But Claire endured it all and totally rocked it! When she smiled she just seems to shine from the inside out, and I think you can see it in these photos. But she also wanted kind of a "modely look" (my words, not hers), so we took a bunch where she wasn't smiling at all.
Thank you, Claire, for allowing me the honor of capturing this important time in your life. I wish you all the best in the future!

Casey H. {Senior}
A few weeks ago I got the opportunity to meet and photograph an awesome young gentleman - and I don't say that in an 'old fuddy duddy" kinda way. I mean this kid was a real gentleman.
Casey is a graduating senior at Tomball High School. He plays football, loves his truck, loves to hunt and loves his family (and it shows.)
This shoot was a lot of fun for so many reasons - trucks, guns, barns - it doesn't get much better than that! Plus, I accidentally rolled in cow poo and got chased by a bull. So there's that.
It was truly an honor to shoot these photos and to capture this snapshot in the timeline of this man's life. Congratulations on your graduation, Casey. You're going to do well in life.

Becca, Anna and Morgan - Three Lovely Seniors {Portraits}
I've never photographed THREE senior women at the same time before, and so going into this shoot I was very nervous. But having the three of them there made the shoot so much more fun than normal. I'm surprised we got ANY photos shot - these girls were giggling so much!
Becca is one of our (and our kids') favorite people in the world, so it was great to get so meet some of her best friends. I hope that these beautiful ladies enjoy these photos of a great time in their lives for years to come! Thank you for allowing me the honor of shooting them. :)
